Editing redlines
Existing redlines are easy to move, resize, and modify with just a few clicks.
To move a redline:
- Click the Select Redline tool in the redline toolbox.
- Select the redline you want to move. Handles appear around the redline and at each vertex.
- Move the mouse pointer over the redline until it changes into a closed hand
.
- Click and hold down the mouse button, drag the redline to its new location, and release the mouse button.
To move a redline vertex (polylines, polyarcs, and leaders only):
- Click the Select Redline tool in the redline toolbox.
- Select the redline you want to edit. Handles appear around the redline and at each vertex.
- Move the mouse pointer over the vertex you want to edit until it changes into a four-headed arrow
.
- Click and hold down the mouse button, drag the vertex to its new location, and release the mouse button.
To resize a redline:
- Click the Select Redline tool in the redline toolbox.
- Select the redline you want to edit. Handles appear around the redline and at each vertex.
- Move the mouse pointer over the redline until it changes into a closed hand
.
- Click and hold down the mouse button, drag the redline to its new location, and release the mouse button.
To edit redline text or redline leader text:
- Click the Select Redline tool in the redline toolbox.
- Point to the redline text or redline leader that you want to edit and double-click when the mouse pointer changes to a pointing hand
. The Redlining Text or Redline Leader Text dialog appears. Edit the text and click OK.
