Editing redlines

Existing redlines are easy to move, resize, and modify with just a few clicks.

To move a redline:

  1. Click the Select Redline tool in the redline toolbox.
  2. Select the redline you want to move. Handles appear around the redline and at each vertex.
  3. Move the mouse pointer over the redline until it changes into a closed hand .
  4. Click and hold down the mouse button, drag the redline to its new location, and release the mouse button.

To move a redline vertex (polylines, polyarcs, and leaders only):

  1. Click the Select Redline tool in the redline toolbox.
  2. Select the redline you want to edit. Handles appear around the redline and at each vertex.
  3. Move the mouse pointer over the vertex you want to edit until it changes into a four-headed arrow .
  4. Click and hold down the mouse button, drag the vertex to its new location, and release the mouse button.

To resize a redline:

  1. Click the Select Redline tool in the redline toolbox.
  2. Select the redline you want to edit. Handles appear around the redline and at each vertex.
  3. Move the mouse pointer over the redline until it changes into a closed hand .
  4. Click and hold down the mouse button, drag the redline to its new location, and release the mouse button.

To edit redline text or redline leader text:

  1. Click the Select Redline tool in the redline toolbox.
  2. Point to the redline text or redline leader that you want to edit and double-click when the mouse pointer changes to a pointing hand. The Redlining Text or Redline Leader Text dialog appears. Edit the text and click OK.
